- Duh! I guess maybe if I'd read the subject of your message, I would have
- known what version you were using! =)
-
- Okay, what you need to do is set the Polygon Size envelope to correspond to
- the maximum Displacement Map size you want....in other words, if you want a
- pool of water to go from no ripple to a ripple size of .037, you would make
- a Polygon Size envelope that starts with a value of 0% at frame zero and then
- increases to a value of 3.7% at some other frame.
-
- So a value of 100% in the Polygon Size envelope would equal a Displacement
- Map size of 1.0.
-
- If you have your Polygon Size envelope set to 0% at frame zero, and you're
- on frame zero in Layout, then the Displacement Map value will be 0. If you
- have a Polygon Size value of 15% at frame 15 and you're on frame 15 in
- Layout, then the Displacement Map value will be .15...in other words, you
- need to actually go to the corresponding frame in Layout to see the correct
- Displacement Map value at that frame.
-
- Hope this makes sense....
